Tennis in Argentina

Buenos Aires is one of the world's best centers for player development on clay courts. Nowadays, tennis lives an excellent moment due to the great results achieved by Argentinian playes.

In the 70s, Guillermo Vilas came up as one of the best players of all times, revolutionizing this sport. Also, in the 80s and 90s, Gabriela Sabatini excelled at women's tennis circuit.

In 2004, the world witnessed the arrival of the so called "Argentinean Legion", with several players in top 20 like Nalbandian, Coria, Gaudio, Puerta, Chela and Cañas.

At the moment, a new group of players is emerging into the international tennis scene, like Dulko, Del Potro and Mónaco.
